Forty EMAC Student-Athletes Recognized By USCAA

Virginia Beach, VA - The United State Collegiate Athletic Association held it's Fall Championships Week in Virignia Beach, VA from November 7-11th. It conducted national championships in Men's and Women's Cross-Country, Men's and Women's Divsion 1 Soccer, Men's and Women's Division II soccer, Divison I Women's Volleyball and Divison II Women's Volleyball. A season-long recognition banquet was held prior to the start of the week's activities where student-athletes were recognized for their achievements both on the field and courts of play, and in the classroom as well. Additionally, at the conclusion of each of the tournaments, All-Tournament teams were named to fete those who excelled in the season-ending event. Eastern Metro Athletic Conference member schools saw forty of their student-athletes honored in at least one category, with several taking home multiple awards.

One EMAC student-athlete took home a national award as Warren Wilson's Carly Andrews was named Division II Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Year. The Student Athlete of the Year award is presented to a USCAA student-athlete that goes above and beyond both in the classroom and is very active on their campus and the surrounding community.

Student-athletes who are at least sophomore standing in school, and have an overall GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible to be selected to the USCAA National All-Academic Team. EMAC honorees are as follows:
